HYLK Macro Pack for World Machine - DEMO Version
The HYLK Macro Pack gives you a set of macros to ease your workflow and help you create realistic and impressive worlds. This pack requires World Machine 3016 or higher.
The DEMO pack contains 29 brand new macros, 3 revised versions of macros already out there and a detailed documentation. The macros are limited to a resolution of 512 × 512 pixels.
Below are all macros listed, with a short description. A more elaborate description can be found in the documentation.
Advanced Height Select – Version 2.0
An alternative for the default Select Height device, giving you more flexibility and a different approach with an easier to use interface.
Advanced Renderer
An alternative for the Basic Renderer macro provided with World Machine, giving you more parameters and includes a light simulation.
Advanced Slope Select
An alternative for the default Select Slope device, giving you more flexibility and a different approach with an easier to use interface.
Bedding
Adds banding/bedding features to your terrain.
Bit Crusher
Reduce the bit depth of a heightmap.
Change Centre Elevation
Change your worlds centre elevation with a single slider.
Colour Erode
Allows you to erode colour maps based on a given terrain and flow map.
Colour Value (NOT INCLUDED IN DEMO VERSION)
Outputs a colour value, making it possible to set the colour for multiple devices at once.
Create Water Plus
An extension of the Create Water device, allowing you to use a rain shadow mask.
Face Selection
Select specific facings of your terrain, for example to colour all northwest facing slopes.
Get Differences Mask
Takes two heightfields and outputs a mask with of their differences.
Get Intersections
Takes two inputs, A and B, and checks whether any parts of B overlap with any parts of A, also known as intersecting.
Line Gen
Generates lines.
MapMe
Creates a map of your world.
Minecraft Preview
Creates a high-resolution preview of your world, emulating the blocks of Minecraft, to give you a better grasp of what your world will look like when exporting it to Minecraft.
Piled
Splits up your world in a number of layers, as if it were a big pile of masses, and then shuffles those layers around randomly, as if the layers were piled in a hurry.
Plaque
An alternative for the Terrace device, making your world layered more naturally.
Quick Lake
Create a lake based on a mask, giving you control over the lake's depth and the lake's water height. Can create multiple lakes at once.
Quick Shrink
Faster approach of the Expander device's Shrink mode, but with less accuracy.
Rectangle – Version 2.0
Generates a rectangle.
RGBand
A new approach to colour generators to create better textures.
River Valley
An alternative for Valley Cut, creating more realistic valleys based on tributaries.
Rocker
Gives your terrain a rocky look.
Seamless
Creates a seamless version of a given height field.
Select Lake Upstreams
Selects the upstream rivers that flow into lakes.
Squeezer – Version 2.0
An different approach of the Clamp device. Use one slider to clamp, and another to set the baseline of that clamping.
Stepped Expander
Instead of the conventional Expander device, this expander will expand low values differently from high values, creating for a "stepped" expansion effect, as low values will be expanded less than high values.
Strata Fold
Creates a stratification effect and allows you to angle/fold it.
Stretcher
Stretches your terrain in both the vertical and horizontal axis.
Tilt
Tilts your terrain.
Tulip
Generates a tulip like shape.
Vector Distortion
Performs distortion based on the terrains direction/vector.
